Funds design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of a 2,500-foot extension of Nimbus Avenue from its current terminus at Cirrus Drive north to Denney Road in Beaverton. This project would provide multi-modal connectivity, capacity, and access to and around the Highway 217 Regional Mobility Corridor, industrial areas, and commercial and office development. It also would be helpful in enhancing the ability of the Washington Square area to develop as a regional center with dense mixed-use facilities by completing another segment in the parallel route along Highway 217. If funded, the Nimbus connection would serve employers, freight movers, industrial and commercial businesses, and residents, and it would provide a more direct north-south route as a reliever route and emergency access for Highway 217. The project is expected to include travel lanes, a bridge over Fanno Creek, bike lanes, sidewalks, planter strips, and turn lanes as needed.
