Funds transportation safety improvements for SW Capitol Highway from Multnomah to Taylor's Ferry, an important local and regional connection.  Proposed improvements would include a complete road rebuild and critical intersection realignments to improve known safety issues along the corridor.  Other improvements would include pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and stormwater runoff facilities for a section of road that currently lacks that infrastructure.  Capitol Highway serves as the link between multiple West Portland commercial town centers, significant transportation routes (I-5 and Highway 99W), and a regional community college (Portland Community College Sylvania Campus).  Improvements to the road would provide safer links to neighborhood commercial centers and regional transportation routes.
