Funds would be used to develop 72nd Avenue in the Tigard Triangle, a key area of underutilized land between Interstate 5 and state highways 217 and 99W in Tigard.  Bounded by two freeways and a major highway, the Tigard Triangle is an ideal major economic development site, but interchange and roadway capacity problems have stymied its development.  This project would provide the vehicular capacity necessary for development and routes for pedestrians, cyclists, and transit riders.  It would also incorporate landscaping and amenities to provide an attractive street-to-spur development.
