Funds efforts to enhance the connectivity of the road and pedestrian networks within transit station areas (½-mile walksheds) throughout the region.  By improving accessibility and providing infrastructure for future transit-oriented development, the program would increase transit ridership by bringing more potential users to the existing corridors rather than extending the system.  In addition to promoting transit-oriented economic development over a longer planning horizon, the project would directly create short-term construction jobs throughout the region.
