Funds the replacement of aging transit buses. The new buses would include modern features, such as air conditioning, automated stop announcements, low floor boarding, and dramatically lower emissions. Additionally, the manufacture of buses can create jobs in numerous industries including engine and transmission manufacturing; axles/suspension component manufacturing; and aluminum, glass, and rubber industries, among others.
