Senators Lincoln, Pryor and Rep. Berry Announce $50,000 for White River Health System, Inc.

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor along with U.S. Representative Marion Berry (AR-01) announced today that White River Health System, Inc. has received a $50,000 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Development Program.  The funding will be used to purchase a new computer server, an electrocardiogram machine and a microbiology analyzer for Stone County Medical Center.

“Every Arkansan deserves access to safe, affordable health care. These funds will allow staff members at White River Health System to provide the best possible care for their patients. I’m pleased to see our state receive these funds, and I remain committed to ensuring Arkansas receives the resources and support we need,” said Lincoln.

“These funds will improve efficiency and prevent medical record errors,” said Pryor.  “I’m pleased federal dollars are being reinvested into the Mountain View community this way.”

“These funds will help the Stone County Medical Center continue to provide critical medical services for their patients,” said Berry.  “The White River Health System and the Stone County Medical Center have a tradition of providing their patients with excellent medical care and these funds will help the facility acquire additional resources to better serve the local community.”
