Lincoln, Pryor, and Snyder Announce $2 Million in Airport Improvement Funding for Adams Field
Federal Grant Money Awarded for Taxiway Rehabilitation

Washington, DC – U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and U.S. Representative Vic Snyder (AR-02) today announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded $2 million in grant funding for taxiway rehabilitation at the Little Rock National Airport.  The competitive grant award is provided by the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Airport Improvement Program.

"These funds will help improve the taxiway at Little Rock National Airport, enhancing safety and security of air travel while also boosting the local economy. I remain committed to ensuring Arkansas receives the resources and support it needs to stay strong," said Lincoln.

"Safe and reliable transportation infrastructure is a critical component to economic development in Arkansas," said Pryor. "Investing these federal dollars in Adams Field will benefit local businesses and residents alike."

"Little Rock National is a valuable part of Central Arkansas's economy and a necessity for family and business travel," said Snyder.  "We are very excited because these funds will help make improvements to accommodate the commerce and travel coming in and out of the region."

The Little Rock National Airport, officially designated Adams Field, has offered commercial air service since June 15, 1931.  The FAA Airport Improvement Program grant will fund taxiway repairs and improve the Little Rock National airport's infrastructure.
