U.S. Representative Mike Ross (AR-04) has successfully secured $250,000 for the Ouachita County Sheriff’s Department in the Fiscal Year 2008 House Commerce and Justice, and Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill which passed the full U.S. House of Representatives Thursday. Ross said the funds are intended to expand security and disaster preparedness at the “The Ross pledged his support to continue fighting for this important project as it moves through the appropriations process. Upon passage of the Commerce and Justice, and Science, and Related Agencies Appropriation Bill in the Senate, the measure will then go to a Conference Committee of House and Senate members who will work to combine both Chambers’ bills to form a Conference Report.
