Ross Congratulates Local Students on Completion of

Washington Internship Program

(Washington, D.C.) United States Representative Mike Ross (AR-04) Wednesday commended local students Rob Reep, Ben Hale, Letia Wyatt, David Wright and Matthew Brown, for successfully completing the second summer session of his Washington, D.C., Congressional Internship Program.

Throughout Ross’ six-week summer internship program, these students attended committee hearings and legislative briefings, assisted members of the congressional staff on various projects, gave numerous Arkansans tours of the United States Capitol and had the opportunity to shadow Ross for a day. Ross’ internship program provides young and upcoming leaders the opportunity to understand the inner-workings of the federal government first-hand.

“My internship program in Washington, D.C., is designed to expose students to our federal government and the legislative process, experiences that simply cannot be learned in a classroom,” Ross said.  “Congressional internships provide a unique setting for student leaders to not only understand the importance of public service, but also to work on behalf of the people of Arkansas’s Fourth Congressional District.  I am proud of these fine students for all of their hard work this summer and I wish them each success in their future endeavors.”

The following students completed the second session of Ross’ Washington, D.C., internship program:
