|Congressman Faleomavaega would like to remind those
students interested in the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York,
and the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, that he is currently
accepting applications for nominations.
“I will accept applications through Thursday, November 1, 2001 for
the classes entering the academies in June, 2002.” said Faleomavaega.

of submitting to an academy the names of ten young men and women – those
whom I believe to be the most qualified and have the best chances of gaining
admission to one of the distinguished service academies.” Faleomavaega
added, “In order to assist me in selecting the best-qualified candidates,
because of the high qualifying standards set forth by the academies, I
will only consider applications that have a minimum Scholastic Assessment
Test (SAT) score of 1,000.”
