Congressman Faleomavaega announced today that Uzbekistan has sent a message of support to the people of American Samoa in the aftermath of the devastating tsunami that struck the U.S. Territory on Tuesday, September 29, 2009.

I have learned with deep sorrow the news of the tragic event in your country, resulting in numerous casualties.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences and convey our sympathy to the families and friends of the victims.
