Renzi Announces Fire Grant for Clay Springs-Pinedale Fire District

Funds Will Help Improve Fire Department’s Response Capabilities

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Rick Renzi (AZ-01) announced today that the Clay Springs-Pinedale Fire District will be receiving $18,949 in federal funds to enhance the fire department’s ability to respond to fire and fire related hazards.  The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under the Assistance to Firefighters Grants.

“It is imperative that the first responders at the Clay Springs-Pinedale Fire District have the tools they need to fight fires and other dangerous catastrophes head-on,” said Congressman Renzi.  “I am grateful that the Department of Homeland Security recognized the need to improve the response capabilities for the Clay Springs-Pinedale Fire District, and provided them with these valuable resources.”

The grant can be used to fund training, firefighting equipment, personal protective equipment, wellness and fitness, health and safety modifications, and firefighting vehicles for the Clay Springs-Pinedale Fire District. This grant is a part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to strengthen the Nation’s overall level of preparedness and ability to respond to fire related hazards.
