April 18, 2007—Congressman Trent Franks (AZ-02) invites all citizens of the West Valley to join him for a look at critical issues currently facing the nation and the United States Congress. The upcoming Town Hall meeting is intended to be a forum in which district residents, as well as state and local community leaders, may listen, participate in discussion, and gain a current understanding of the critical issues being addressed in pending legislation.
Congressman Franks stated, “America has perhaps never been at a more pivotal point in her history; as a nation we are facing the threat of terrorism, entitlement reform, immigration reform, constitutional disintegration, and the growing danger of nuclear proliferation among states who are enemies of freedom, just to name a few.
I am pleased to have the opportunity to invite members of the community to come, listen to a first-hand account of Congress’s legislative action in recent months, and share your opinions and pose your questions at this important forum.”
Congressman Franks is a Member of the Armed Services Committee, the Judiciary Committee, the Strategic Forces Subcommittee, and is the Ranking Member on the Constitution Subcommittee. Among others, he serves on the Anti-Terrorism Caucus, the Immigration Reform Caucus, and the Congressional Human Rights Caucus. As a steadfast conservative, he remains committed to the timeless principles on which America was founded, and stresses the importance of national security, border security, missile defense, and protecting the constitutional rights of all Americans.
The Town Hall Meeting is open to the public, and is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 28th from 1pm to 3pm at Palmridge Recreation Center in Sun City West, 138th Avenue and Deer Valley Road. |
