| I am deeply saddened by the passing of UC Merced founding Chancellor Carol Tomlinson-Keasey. She was among my dearest friends, and her loss will be felt by all of us. She had an unwavering commitment to UC Merced and shared our community’s vision of bringing a UC campus to the Central Valley. There simply are not words to capture all that she did for us. As we continue to develop the UC Merced Campus, she will forever remain in our thoughts, as will the enormous debt of gratitude we owe her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family. In the coming days I will be recognizing her on the floor of the House of Representatives. |
