Congressman Howard Berman Names Los Angeles Native Gabby Adler Communications Director

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Howard L. Berman, Ranking Minority Member on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, announced today that Los Angeles native Gabby Adler will be serving as the Communications Director in his Congressional office.   Adler will also work as the Communications Director for the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

“I am pleased to welcome Gabby Adler as our new Communications Director,” said Congressman Berman.  “Gabby’s professional experience, press savvy, and most importantly her extensive knowledge of Southern California will make her a tremendous asset to my office.”

Gabby Adler said, “As a proud Californian, it is an honor to work for Congressman Berman and a privilege to join the great team of dedicated staffers in his Congressional office.  I look forward to using my firsthand knowledge of the district to shine a spotlight on the important work Congressman Berman is doing on behalf of the residents of the San Fernando Valley.”

Gabby Adler was born and raised in Southern California, where her family continues to reside.  After graduating from Beverly Hills High School, she attended the University of California at Berkeley, and earned her Master’s degree from the University of Southern California.

Adler most recently served as the Midwestern Regional Press Secretary at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).  In that position she acted as the DCCC’s on-the-record spokesperson in twelve Midwestern states.  Prior to joining the DCCC, Adler served as Communications Director for Congressman Dave Loebsack of Iowa and previously worked at the Caraway Group, a Public Relations firm.  Before moving to Washington, DC, Adler worked on John Kerry’s Presidential Campaign, Senator Barbara Boxer’s 2004 reelection campaign, and managed Frank Fenton’s successful race for Beverly Hills City Council.
