Washington, D.C. – Congressman John Salazar today announced a grant of $120,000.00 to update the airport master plan at Cortez Municipal Airport. This grant will provide funding for the third phase of the airport’s master plan. The current master plan needs to be updated to identify future airport development needs and to meet current planning requirements.
“This funding will help the Cortez airport update its plan for the future and its ability to continue to provide safe and efficient air service for residents and pilots in and around Montezuma County,” said Congressman Salazar. “I am proud to have supported these efforts and I will continue to work to provide necessary funding for projects that will improve our infrastructure and strengthen our economy.”
