Salazar announces $452,178 grant to begin   Montrose Airport terminal expansion process

Washington, D.C. – Congressman John Salazar today announced a grant of $452,178 to help expand services at the Montrose Regional Airport. This grant will provide funds for the first phase of expansion of the passenger terminal building (design only) on Montrose Regional Airport, Montrose, Colorado. Expansion of the passenger terminal building will provide additional space for passenger hold rooms, central waiting rooms, and passenger queuing areas, and will serve to alleviate congestion during peak travel periods.

“This funding will help the Montrose Airport expand its terminal and its ability to provide safe and efficient air service for residents and pilots in and around Montrose County,” said Congressman Salazar. “I am proud to have supported these efforts and I will continue to work to provide necessary funding for projects that will improve our infrastructure and strengthen our economy.”

For information on this project please contact Mr. Lloyd Arnold, Director of Aviation, Montrose Regional Airport, Montrose, Colorado, (970) 252-0287.
