This section of Congressman Abercrombie's Web site "spotlights" different issues, topics, or people the Congressman works with to improve the quality of life for all of us-- across the nation and in Hawaii's First Congressional District. While "Neil's Notebook" at the top of this page primarily follows the Congressman's daily work, this section will seek to offer some perspective on the Congressman's work and activities. "Neil's Spotlight" began shining last July-- at a time when Congressman Abercrombie helped to begin the formation of the House Energy Working Group and its bipartisan legislation. The bill served as a catalyst to the drafting and passage of an omnibus House energy bill, and the "Spotlight" pulled together daily developments on that issue. That's one of the ways the "Spotlight" will try to keep you illumniated.
