Presidential Inaugural Committee launches Web Site

November 26, 2006

The Presidential Inaugural Committee has established a Web site that will be providing e-mail updates on the different inaugural events and invites you to volunteer to help out with this historic event.

The new Web site announces that President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden’s Inaugural Committee have outlined plans "for an inauguration that will underscore their commitment to change business as usual in Washington and ensure that as many Americans as possible, both inside and outside Washington, will be able to come together to unite the country and celebrate our common values and shared aspirations."

The Web site will be offering more details about the schedule of inaugural activities and information about Presidential Inauguration Committee ticketed events. (Please note that the Swearing-In Ceremony at the U.S. Capitol is coordinated and ticketed by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies.)

The Presidential Inauguration Committee Web site enables you to sign up online if you're interested in volunteering to help out with the Inauguration. The Presidential Inaugural Committee is seeking volunteers to help with a number of inaugural events and is looking for volunteers with different skills and backgrounds who will be available to help.
