(4/24/09) Universities are among the major beneficiaries of $21 billion dollars in stimulus funding going to science.

Here's a sampling of what's happening nationwide:

• Christian Science Monitor - Science benefits from stimulus package, but projects must be 'beaker-ready'.

• Jacksonville Business Journal - 'Green' industry to benefit from stimulus funding.
  
  
• USA Today – The early federal stimulus money appears to be hitting its target, paying for new projects and creating jobs. 
  
  
• Nevada Appeal – Nevada workforce training programs will get a $25 million infusion of cash from the federal stimulus package.
