Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Representative Neil Abercrombie and the entire Hawaii congressional delegation have signed a letter warning Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle that planned furloughs of state employees handling work funded by the Social Security Administration will result in a loss of $1.9 million in federal funding to Hawaii and delay certain types of Social Security payments to thousands of local residents over two years.
