Washington D.C. ----  (July 1, 2005) - “It is with great admiration that I thank Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor for her many years of service and willingness to weigh in on key issues without prejudice. This country has benefited greatly by her decision to let what is “right,” guide her decisions rather than what is popular or partisan.  As the first woman to serve on the Supreme Court, her legacy has earned its place in history. I wish her well in retirement, and may her actions serve as an example for her peers and future lawmakers.”
