“It is my job to advocate for the interests of those in my district while serving as Congressman,” said Johnson.  “When area fire departments contact me, looking for funding to improve the safety and infrastructure of their communities, I do not hesitate to seek out available funds and send them to the deserving fire departments, especially at a time of heightened awareness for American emergency professionals.  Both Carroll and Cooksville fire departments provide excellent service to their communities and I am happy to work for them in this capacity.”

The FEMA and USFA dollars coming this month to Cooksville and Urbana going to help implement the Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety Program at each department.  This program enhances interdepartmental training activities, wellness and fitness activities, firefighting equipment acquisition and personal protective equipment acquisition.
