I believe it is time for a change in leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives. Both Democrats and Republicans need to focus on what is good for Americans. Not only do we need a change in leaders, we need a change in the way business is conducted in the nation’s capital.
This weekend I signed a petition calling for a special election to replace Tom DeLay’s position as House Majority Leader. The election will take place when the House of Representatives reconvenes later this month.
From Hope to Paradise: Continuing Tenth Annual Big First Listening Tour
Since Congress adjourned before the holidays, I have been traveling the Big First district to continue my tenth annual listening tour. Each stop is useful to me as I meet directly with Kansans to hear their thoughts and concerns. This input helps me do a better job representing Kansans in Congress.
Over the last two weeks, I made stops in Coldwater, Greensburg, Hoxie, Hill City, Logan, Sublette, Ness City, Stockton, Miltonvale, Quinter, Clay Center, Liberal, Minneapolis, Minneola, Garden City, Jetmore and Meade.
