WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Jerry Moran today announced that Nicole Young of Ulysses has joined his staff. Young will serve as press secretary in Moran’s Washington, D.C., office. Young is a graduate of Ulysses High School.
“The press secretary position is important, as it keeps Kansas citizens informed of activities in Washington, D.C.,” Moran said. “I am glad to have Nicole join our staff and work on behalf of Kansans.”
Young is a 2005 graduate of Kansas State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism. While at KSU, she was president of Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow and a national officer with the organization, as well as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and a participant in the 2005 Community Service Program Guatemala summer team. She was also awarded the 2005 K-State Anderson Award for Leadership.
“I am very excited to have joined a great leader in Congressman Moran,” Young said. “His dedication to the people of Kansas is inspiring, and I look forward to helping him serve my home district.”
As press secretary, Young will coordinate media activities to ensure that the people of the First District remain informed about issues at a local, state and national level.
Nicole is the daughter of Donnie Young of Ulysses and Ginny Young of Greeley, Colorado.
