HUTCHINSON — Congressman Jerry Moran today announced that Jon Schrag of Pretty Prairie is an intern in Moran’s Hutchinson office. Schrag is a 2002 graduate of Pretty Prairie High School.

“The internship program is a great way for young people to gain practical work experience while learning about the federal government,” Moran said. “I am happy to have Jon working on behalf of Kansans.”

Schrag is a senior at Sterling College, working toward a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Political Science. After graduation, he plans to work in the business sector or political field. 

“I’m very thankful for the chance to work with Congressman Moran and his staff,” Schrag said. “I’m looking forward to gaining experience in public service. It is a very unique opportunity from which I’m sure I will benefit greatly.”

In the office, Schrag will assist Congressman Moran with legislative and administrative duties on behalf of the people of Kansas’ First Congressional District. 

Jon is the son of Steve and Lori Schrag of ­­­­Pretty Prairie.
