MORAN SELECTS TYLER LUND FOR INTERNSHIP

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Jerry Moran today announced that Tyler Lund of Salina is an intern in his Washington, D.C., office. Lund is a 2002 graduate of Salina Central High School in Salina.

“The internship program provides valuable insight into public service and the legislative process,” Moran said. “I am happy to have Tyler working on behalf of Kansans.”

Lund is a senior at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and will graduate in May 2006. While in Washington, D.C., he is participating in the American Studies Program, sponsored by the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. At Bethel University, Lund served as the 2004-2005 student body president and plays on the rugby team. Upon graduation, Lund plans to work with agricultural interests through business, government or foreign ministry.

“This experience will give me the opportunity to see how Congressman Moran serves Kansans,” Lund said. “I hope to also one day be serving Kansans in a public capacity and am excited to see how my political science education assists me.”

In the office, Lund will assist Congressman Moran with legislative and administrative duties on behalf of the people of Kansas’ First Congressional District.

Tyler is the son of Eric and Cheri Lund of Salina.
