WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Rep. Ron Lewis (KY-02) released the following statement today concerning Thursday night’s severe weather event in Daviess County:

 

“My thoughts and prayers are with those people who suffered personal injury and property damage in Thursday night’s storm. The coordinated effort of the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, Owensboro Police and Fire Departments, and the Daviess County Emergency Management Agency provided quick assistance to those most seriously affected and prevented further danger to the public. I am committed to working with federal, state, and local officials to address any critical needs that may have resulted from this storm.”

 

 

Lewis will join Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson, Judge Executive Reid Haire, and other local officials in Owensboro Saturday morning to inspect property damage.
