Washington, DC – Congressman William J. Jefferson (D-La.) will testify tomorrow at a hearing held by the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management. The hearing will focus on lingering problems that have hindered Katrina recovery. Congressman Jefferson has been asked to testify about New Orleans’ unresolved problems as well as his experience in dealing with FEMA’s recovery programs in the wake of Katrina. He has also been asked to offer suggestions on how to improve the existing programs.
The hearing will be held tomorrow, May 10, at 2pm in Rayburn HOB, room 2167.
