Washington, DC -- "While it is good to hear the President talk about putting money back into the hands of those who need it, we need leadership that considers the interests of working Americans every day, not just at the 11th hour,” said Congressman John Sarbanes.
“In the Third District, we've heard from a number of constituents who are struggling to make ends meet. For these individuals and so many like them, the economic stimulus offers only short-term relief from the high costs associated with housing, home heating oil, gas prices and the ever rising cost of food. We need to keep working on long-term solutions that will give American families true economic security."
