(Washington D.C.)- Congressman Russ Carnahan joined House Democrats yesterday in bringing the “100 Hours Agenda” to a successful conclusion – fulfilling Democrats’ promise to pass legislation reflecting the values and priorities of the American people within the first 100 legislative hours in the House of Representatives.
In an initial step to change the way that business done in Washington, the new Democratic Majority showed their commitment to the people by passing legislation which will have a real and lasting impact. With his colleagues, Carnahan has set a tone for the 110th Congress that is one of cooperation, consensus and compromise that extends beyond party lines.
