(Washington, D.C) U.S. Congressman Sam Graves announced today that the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Development program has approved a grant of $1,913,600 and a guaranteed loan of $2,034,000 to the town of Carrollton. The funding will be used to improve the wastewater treatment plant, the pumping station and the distribution system.
“This is a project that has wide and deep support in the community,” said Graves. “When this project was presented to me, I was excited to work with community leaders improve their town. I am glad the USDA Rural Development program also recognizes the importance of water quality in rural Missouri.”
