WASHINGTON   –  U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will visit and tour the Cape Girardeau Career and Technical Center to observe the job-training programs in action on Thursday at 10:45 a.m. CDT.

“In this economic climate, I am very glad the dedicated staff and students at the Cape Career and Technical Center are working so hard to fine-tune the skills our entire region relies on to stay competitive,” Emerson said.  “I very much look forward to seeing the Center in action on Thursday and learning more about how this facility is meeting the workforce challenges of today as well as tomorrow.”

Following her tour, Emerson will eat lunch with students and staff.  The meal will be provided by the Center’s culinary students.
