WASHINGTON   –  Following a round table health care forum with area experts, U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will tour the Southeast Missouri State University Show-Mobile on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. CDT.  The tour will take place at the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau.

“The Show-Mobile is really an innovative approach that creates an educational opportunity in rural areas of our district.  Instead of taking a classroom of students to the museum, the Show-Mobile truly brings the museum to the school for all of the children who attend there,” Emerson said.  “It’s a cost-effective way to inject an exciting learning experience into our curriculum.”

The Show-Mobile, long supported by Emerson, has served as a national model for educational outreach.
