CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will continue the 25th annual Emerson Farm Tour in Mississippi, Dunklin, Stoddard and Dunklin Counties on Wednesday, August 9. “Southern Missouri is home to a wide variety of agricultural producers, and I am proud to represent our hardworking farmers and ranchers. Our farms and ranches are important components of our communities, our economy, and our way of life,” Emerson said. “The Farm Tour is an opportunity for me to learn firsthand about the issues important to our growers, ranchers, and agriculture businesses, such as flood control, and new market opportunities. I want learn about their views on these issues, as well as to let our agricultural community know what I am doing in Congress on their behalf. The upcoming Farm Bill is going to be an important legislative priority for me, as well as for the men and women who farm and ranch in Southern Missouri.”
