EMERSON'S MOBILE OFFICE TO HIT THE ROAD

New Stops Planned in Taney, Ozark and Douglas Counties

Washington, DC -

U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (R-MO) says the Mobile Office will hit the road again in March 2003 with new stops in Ozark, Douglas and Taney counties. The goal of the mobile office is to allow her constituents to be in better contact with their federal representative.

"I want folks to drop by the Mobile Office for a brief visit when it comes to a town near them," Emerson explained. "My Mobile Office Director, Darren Lingle, will be able to answer the public's questions and write down constituent concerns. Most of all, the Mobile Office allows folks to share how they feel on the important issues of the day."

The Missouri Eighth Congressional District Mobile Office began traveling the roads of Southern Missouri in March of 1997. The office serves as a comprehensive constituent resource regarding the federal government. Emerson's staff, who regularly staffs the office, forwards on to Emerson constituent concerns about particular issues or votes facing the 108th Congress, as well as initiate individual cases that people have with various federal agencies.

In closing Emerson commented, "The Mobile Office should help to make it more convenient for folks' concerns to be heard in the Halls of Congress. So, whether you are from Ava or Alton; Gainesville or Grandin; or even in Forsythe or Fredericktown, please make sure to stop by the Emerson Mobile District Office."
