WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will meet with school administrators from the Eighth Congressional District at the Hickory Log in Dexter on Friday, February 29 at 11:30 a.m. CST.
“Our school administrators can provide tremendous insight into the way the No Child Left Behind Act has affected the ability of our local schools to educate Southern Missouri students. As Congress debates changes to this important law, I want to be armed with the ammunition of their ideas and feedback,” Emerson said. “Education is a vital mission of our local, state and federal governments. We have to demand accountability at every level, and we have to work to assure that the laws set at every level enable children to succeed in their studies.”
