WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will hold a transportation meeting with key Taney County leaders and representatives from the Missouri Department of Transportation on Thursday, March 20 at 8:30 a.m. Her visit is open to members of the media, and local and state officials will be in attendance. The meeting has been rescheduled from a previous cancellation due to severe weather.
“We’ve got to make sure the transportation infrastructure in Southern Missouri can facilitate the growth of our local economy. Of special importance are the roads that get us to our schools and our jobs, take our manufacturing and agricultural goods to markets around the world, and bring products in to our stores and homes,” Emerson said. “I want to focus the attention of our state and federal officials on the transportation needs of Taney County. We need to pursue solutions and provide results for the people of this region. This meeting is an important step in that process, and I am looking forward to a productive conversation.”
