CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will kick off the 23rd annual Emerson Farm Tour in Rolla on Tuesday, August 10. Emerson will begin the day with a tour of the Soybean Bridge at the University of Missouri-Rolla.
Members of the media are welcome at Tuesday’s events.
“Southern Missouri is home to a wide variety of agricultural producers, and I am proud to represent our hardworking farmers and ranchers,” Emerson said. “The Farm Tour is an opportunity for me to learn firsthand about the issues important to our growers, ranchers, and agriculture businesses, such as country of origin labeling, flood control, and new market opportunities. I want to utilize this visit to learn about their views on these issues, as well as to let our agricultural community know what I am doing in Congress on their behalf.”
