WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will attend the Southeast Missouri Economic Development Alliance (SMEDA) Spring Conference this Friday at 10:00 a.m. CST.
“I am very optimistic about the economic future of our region,” Emerson said. “Still, we must work hard and be vigilant to keep the businesses and jobs we have, then make them grow. With a dedicated group of public officials, business leaders, and economic development experts like SMEDA, the future is bright. I don’t know of any other region with as strong and dedicated a group of leaders working to foster economic growth.
“I also look forward to working with Greg Steinhoff, the new Director of Economic Development for Missouri. He will play a critical role in our efforts to strengthen Southeast Missouri’s rural economy, and I have every confidence in his abilities.”
