WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will attend an open house for the Fatherhood First program in Sikeston on Friday, April 1 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. CST. The Fatherhood First program is an effort of the Missouri Bootheel Regional Consortium, and it provides job readiness and parenting programs to area men.
“Fatherhood First is a unique and valuable program for families in Southeast Missouri,” Emerson said. “A number of dedicated individuals have put their best efforts into a program that will help build strong families with job readiness and job training, as well as parenting strategies for use in the home. Being a parent in this day and age is a demanding job. I’m proud of the participants in this program for tackling these challenges with their best efforts.”
