WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will TOMORROW meet Habitat for Humanity board members and volunteers as she picks up a hammer to assist construction of a new home in Cape Girardeau.
“Habitat for Humanity and the many donors and volunteers behind their efforts perform an amazing, selfless public service for worthy families in Missouri. I am proud and honored to be a part of their efforts, and to say thank you on behalf of our entire congressional district,” Emerson said. “Service to others is one of our core values here in Southeast Missouri. In just two or three weeks of hard work, these volunteers can make a permanent difference in a family’s life.”
