WASHINGTON  -  U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will visit Scott County on
Thursday as part of her 24th Annual Emerson Farm Tour.  From 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., Emerson will tour Diebold’s Orchard.

 

“I’m looking forward to seeing Diebold’s Orchard and starting the day with some fresh fruit, right off the tree.  It is also a chance to hear about how Congress can assist small businesses and entrepreneurs who use agriculture for new and different opportunities,” Emerson said.  “As we work to attract tourism to our region in unique ways, we can see the value of getting travelers to stop in our communities even just for an afternoon.  Southern Missouri orchards are great reminders of the diversity of our agricultural production and the expertise of growers here in the Heartland.”
