WASHINGTON  -  U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will visit Shannon County on Thursday as part of her 24th Annual Emerson Farm Tour.  At 6:00 p.m., Emerson will join the 50th Anniversary of Cross Country Trail Ride in Eminence.

 

“Our rich history of riding horses in Southern Missouri has become a great tradition that can be enjoyed by everyone today.  The Cross Country Trail Ride demonstrates the value of a restful, scenic trail ride as a break from the rush of everyday life,” Emerson said.  “It is also part of how we are attracting tourism to our region in unique ways.  City slickers don’t even need to bring their own horses!”
