WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) today made the following statement about the damage following Hurricane Katrina.
“The entire Eighth Congressional District is devastated by the loss of life, the extent of the damage, and the sheer magnitude of the tragedy in the Gulf Coast. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been affected by this natural disaster of unthinkable proportions,” Emerson said.
Emerson has been supplied with information for those who wish to make donations to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina.
“As always, it is important to make certain that our charitable donations are going to reputable organizations who will put it to the best uses,” Emerson said.
