WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will address brand new U.S. citizens at a naturalization ceremony on MONDAY, November 7, at 10:00 a.m. CST in Judge Steven Limbaugh’s courtroom in Cape Girardeau.
“I’m honored to congratulate the men and women who have taken the time to become U.S. citizens and undergo the entire naturalization process. We have a great country and a proud tradition of immigrants from all over the globe who come here to fulfil their dreams,” Emerson said. “The ceremony marks a proud day for me, for them, and for our whole community. It marks a time at which we can all stop and consider the importance of citizenship to every one of us. I really think it says great things about Southern Missouri that people from all over the world want to come here and live as Americans.”
