WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) tomorrow will attend the groundbreaking for the Veterans Administration Clinic at the American Legion in Farmington at 1:30 p.m. CST.
“Our veterans demand and deserve health care facilities that can thoroughly meet their needs. In rural America, this need often poses a challenge, so we look for ways to work together. This partnership between the VA and the American Legion is a great accomplishment for St. Francois County. I want to congratulate all of the local leaders who have worked hard to make this project a reality. The VA’s cooperation with our community deserves special thanks as well. I hope this clinic becomes a national model to extend the promise of quality care to other veterans who live in rural areas of our country,” Emerson said. “I’m very proud of the people who put their hard work into making the Farmington VA Clinic a reality.”
Officials from the Washington, DC, and Kansas City Veterans Administration are expected to attend as well.
