WASHINGTON   –  U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will visit the Missouri Delta Medical Center on Friday, January 25, at 3:00 p.m. CST.  The meeting to discuss $191,593 in federal funds Emerson obtained to computerize radiology functions at the Center, and it is open to the public.

“Access to quality medical care presents a very real challenge in rural areas of our nation.  We in Southern Missouri are fortunate to have facilities of the caliber of the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, and I am proud to advocate for federal funding that brings technology improvements to the Center which help raise the standard of care for the people who seek treatment here,” Emerson said.  “I’m looking forward to meeting with the staff of the Missouri Delta Medical Center on Friday and discussing this exciting opportunity in greater detail.”
