WASHINGTON   -  U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will visit Reed Lumber Company west of Potosi on Friday at 2:00 p.m. CDT as part of the 26th Annual Emerson Farm Tour.

“Reed Lumber Company is a great example of the diversity of agricultural activity in Southern Missouri.  It’s not just food crops that drive the agricultural sector of our rural economy, it’s also companies that use agricultural inputs we produce nearby,” Emerson said. “I’ll welcome a discussion of the Farm Bill, economic development and all the other issues facing Washington County producers on Friday.  This is an important year for farmers, ranchers, and every American who puts agricultural inputs to use in manufacturing operations throughout our region.”
