WASHINGTON   -  U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) has invited Southern Missouri agriculture producers to meet her in Dunklin County for a roundtable discussion at Strawberry’s BBQ on Thursday, August 30, at 12:30 p.m. CDT on the 26th Annual Emerson Farm Tour.

“With a new Farm Bill in process and many pressing agriculture issues on the table in Congress, there is no more important time to gather input from our farmers about the state of U.S. agriculture.  We have a tremendous, diverse region when it comes to agricultural production.  Our farmers and ranchers face special challenges and overcome them, they get hit with natural disasters and persevere,” Emerson said.  “The open, honest, and frequent dialog we share really enables me to be in touch with topics that are an extremely high priority of mine on the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee in Congress.”
